I've been camping here all my life even even it was primitive camping but the last two times we went we had trouble with the camp host. The first time was they accused my daughter of not putting the money in the pole but turned out the payment was stuck in the pole. The second time was we came up for the day and brought our dog the hosts wife stopped us while we walked him to the river she was yelling at us about I our dog. I'll never camp there again until they are replaced.
Nice quiet location to camp off the main road.
I've been going there for years and sad to see the camp host no longer there. Camped there at site #2 and was very disappointed to find the garbage cans had been removed and previous campers left their garbage in the bear box. Could have been dangerous! Pack it in, pack it out people.
Remote, but not as much as Upper Chattahoochee Campground. There are bathrooms and trash cans, along with a camp host. Nice stream access. Loads of shade.
This a quite and restful campground off the beaten path with many camping spots next to Low Gap Creek. Note, they have removed bear boxes, trash cans and there is no longer a camp host. So, pack it in and pack it out is the moto here, please plan accordingly! Also, the chemical toilets were locked on our last visit in September 2017, I am unsure if this is permanent or was temporary as we visited shortly after Hurricane Irma passed through.
