Be wary. Stopped in and got drinks and snack. Got back to my place and realized everything was expired and was flat. Took it back and asked for an exchange. Was confronted by an angry white man who was supposed to be manager. He said we were entitled tourists and that he would have us locked up if we didn’t leave his property. He continued to follow us outside yelling at us and taking pictures of my car like a crazed man. Stay away!

As we walked across the shop’s lot to our van, the owner came out and yelled rudely “THANK YOU FOR YOUR BUSINESS” at us. My wife responded by telling him that he didn't have a public bathroom and that she had missed the turn, and appologized. He then followed us to our van, screaming at us because we parked in his lot, we didn't buy anything from him, it’s a city ordinance that you can’t do that, and finally, “ITS THE LAW.” My wife was pretty upset at this point and told him we were from out of town, and didn't know the city ordinances because we’re not from the town of Helen, or from anywhere in Georgia. He continued berating us about disrespect, my wife yelled back at him that he was yelling at a mother and her 2 year old, and that he was scaring our child.

The staff and owners are very rude and the items they sell are overpriced! They are a blemish on the friendly charming town of Helen. I refuse to shop there for anything.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT give them any of your money! These "individuals" are hateful and obnoxious. My husband, daughter and I walked into the convenience store to use the restroom and buy a soda. I asked the man if they had a restroom. He said we would need to go back into town or "piss in the river out back". We walked in and the lady said "make sure that girl don't leave that trash in my store". (My 6 year old daughter brought in a small cup and never set it down.) I grabbed a Diet Coke and water. We payed and walked back outside. I checked the date on the Coke and it was expired by 6 months. I walked back in the store and asked if I could exchange it for another one. The man snatched it out of my hand and told the woman to give me a refund. I asked what was going on and said I didn't want a refund. I wanted my Diet Coke. The woman shouted at me to "not use that language in her store." (What language????) They were shouting at me and telling me I was being rude to them. The man said it all started when we parked on his property. (FYI: the jerk doesn't have "no parking" signs visible). I will NEVER set foot on their property again. They need to go out of business sooner rather than later! Oh and for the record, they are vicious to everyone. Not just people of color. My family and I are caucasion. I read on another post that these individuals are racist. Not racist just disgusting human beings!

I didn't even want to put a single star. He was EXTREMELY rude for no absolute reason. We weren't there two seconds and he called my mom and a** hole. I wouldn't recommend stopping for no reason at all. To own a business and act like this, you do not deserve it.

Long story short, don’t go here unless you want to get yelled at and/or are looking to start a fight with a old toothless drunken nut job. (Not for sure he was drunk, but he sure acted and looked like it) but seriously, how is this place still in business?

During this time I was trying to take care of various other things to get us out of this psychopaths parking lot, but hearing this infuriated me. I closed the door to our van and turned and yelled back at him - which is an accomplishment on his part because I absolutely despise yelling - I told him that he was disrespecting and yelling at us, and he was the one that had put us in this situation. He walked up to me, got in my face and yelled at me that he was going to get me on camera, getting in his face and hitting him and that I was going to go to get a $250 ticket for parking in his lot. I put my hands up and told him I wasn't going to hit him and that he was the one causing all the issues at this time. He took our license plate number and appeared to be calling the police. We left, never saw a police officer. I took some days to get to a point where I could adequately write this review without obscenities, I’ve never been so irate in my life.

On Wednesday October 18th, around 12:30pm, we accidentally parked in one of very few parking spots at this pitiful excuse for a shop.

The neighboring business was great, and allowed us the use of their bathroom, if I ever find myself in GA again I will be a return customer for them. On the way back to the van, I warned my wife that the owner of the shop we parked at was trying to run us off, and to beware.

I have a feeling that, based on other reviews, this happens twice a week, and the local police laugh at him when he calls.

My wife had to use the rest room and went next door because of a “no public restrooms” sign on the door. I proceeded to get my 2 year old out of our van, because she required a diaper change. The owner came out of his shop and asked if we needed help finding anything. I politely responded by telling him I needed a bathroom to change a dirty diaper, but he didn't have one available. He said “We don't have public bathrooms out here, you have to go into town for that” he grumbled some other stuff, but I could tell he was trying to run us off. It didn't matter, we wouldn’t be taking up his space for long, not that he had any other customers anyways.
