Last min stop on our 21 year wedding anniversary. Hotel room is spotless and the staff is extra courteous. The young lady at the front desk Wednesday gave us a map and outlined all the area we should hit up. And we did! When we came back to the room Friday Randal surprised us with rose petals on the bed and a trail leading to the bathroom! How awesome! We have stayed at hotels all over the US and over seas but this was a first. Place is very safe great areas to walk your dog grass is manicured to expectations. This place is highly recommended *****!
Check in Thursday night found customer service behind the counter on his cell phone(never got up to greet us).I told him about my membership with Red Roof and nothing happen.Finally got the keys and try to ask some questions but he was in a rush going back his cell. The premises outside is dirty,halls full of cigarette butts.Even the male maintenance guy was smoking while working. Room service representative had no uniform,dress like just got off streets.Room was done only once in 3 nights.Very poor customer service.As a courtesy we still lest a tip. Breakfast room very small and female attendant behind the counter also on her cell and sitting down when customers come to ask her questions.Needs more TLC and more friendly people for future visits.
Bed bugs. Hotel denies it. My husband noticed it right away when we were in the lobby grabbing breakfast. He's like wow that really red. I was like nah the rooms look too clean to have bed bugs maybe it's a mosquito bite. When we got back to the room he noticed a bite on my arm also. I immediately checked him and my son but didn't see any bites. So again I told him maybe it's mosquitoes then. I guess we will know later if it doesn't go away. A few hours passed by and the bites got worst and starting oozing puss and got really red and hot. I called the hotel and I told him (Josh) I just want them to go check it out and address the issue because I got bit up really bad. He said he's not a medical doctor and how would he know if they are bed bugs. "We dont have bed bugs! I can't help you or do anything for you. I'm not going to give you a refund." I never once asked him or the hotel for a refund just to simply give them a heads up and please go check it out. Josh was very unprofessional and rude about the situation. I would never let my employees treat or talk to customers/clients that way. He was very insensitive to the situation and quickly dismissed my concern. I am very disappointed because I read such good reviews about this place. The ladies in the front desk were nice, I feel bad that the experience was ruined.
This is a renovated motel near the downtown area of Helen. It sits up on a hill so the views are very nice. The staff is very friendly, we met the GM Michelle when we checked in and she was a doll. Our room was very clean and nice. We only had one issue, our jacuzzi tub did not work, but they offered us another room next door that had a working tub so we just moved over there. Bed was comfy, bathroom was clean and tub was very relaxing. It was very stormy overnight so we lost the Direct TV signal, but we just put our Pandora on and went to bed. We missed breakfast the next day but the very nice front desk manager gave us muffins, juice and coffee. We would definitely stay there again!
Hotel building was older, but room was updated and very modern. Rooms were clean and nice. Tubs were larger than normal hotel bathrooms. The staff were friendly and bed was comfortable. Breakfast muffins and apple fritters were great! Very close to town and pretty quiet. Outdoor pool was small, but clean and quiet. Would recommend and will stay again!
